Trinity offers a wide range of musical, fine arts, sports and academic activities which enhance its overall education programs. However, these extra-curricular activities are just that: extra. The main thrust of Trinity's educational program remains the academic program which is contained in the regular school day. Information about programs, eligibility and participation are located in the Extra-Curricular Handbook which is found in Appendix "A" of the school handbook.

Organizations:
Team Quest   Science Olympiad

Trinity offers students the opportunity to join organizations such as Student Council (grades 4-8). Art Club, Chess Club, Yearbook, Team Quest, Science Olympiad, and Math Quest. These and other extra curricular groups may be offered to Trinity students during the course of the school year and are subject to faculty and/or sponsor availability. Some of these activities are provided for an additional fee.

Fine Arts:
Band   Handchimes

Throughout the year students are offered the opportunity to participate in band (grades 5-8) music competition (grades 5-8) and choirs. Handbells and Drama may be offered as after school activities. Operettas and choirs are considered part of the curriculum.
Students in grades four through eight may participate in the Illinois Grade School Music Association Contest held annually the second weekend in March. Band contestants must be in the fifth grade or above and the band director will determine the level of music to be played.
Piano students must be in grade four or above and must be able to play a memorized selection of the "D" class of music or above. Vocal contestants must be in grade six or above and must be capable of singing a selection at the "C" class or above. In addition to the rules outlined in this handbook, students must also abide by the rules set forth by the Illinois Grade School Music Association.

Student Council:

The Student Council shall be democratic in forum and shall consist of two representatives (depending on class size) from each classroom elected by students in grades four through eight. The Principal shall have the final approval of members. The Student Council shall be administered by two or more members of the faculty. The officers include one President from the eighth grade, and one Vice President and Secretary from the seventh and/or eighth grade. The representatives shall have a good, positive Christian attitude toward the school. In addition the rules and regulations outlined in this handbook, the Student Council also has a set of by-laws which govern how it operates.
